CORE COMPETENCY ON EMERGENCY COORDINATION

            This post is dedicated to the Driving NC II Core Competency on Emergency Response Coordination.
           It is important for drivers to be fully aware, that no matter how safety conscious a person is, unsafe conditions and actions always occur.  Unsafe acts contribute to approximately 85 percent safety risk and Unsafe conditions contribute to about 15 percent safety risk.
          TESDA Training Regulations on Driving NC II provides for specific requirement as a Core Competency on Response procedures in cases of Emergency on the road and on board the vehicle.

          The following discussions relate to the training and experiences of the trainer in safety and response to emergency situations.






Peer learning discussions:

The following are situations which designed to stimulate the learners ability to respond to emergency situations. This is basically knowledge and theory-base . A session on deepening the mental processes on emergency response and coordination shall be held in appropriate locations.

4.1. Implementing  and Coordinating Accident/
Emergency Procedures
a)    You are driving within proper driving speed. Then from your right you are hit by a motorcycle where the driver is thrown bloody on the road. What will you do and why?



b)    You placed a wounded man inside your car. What are the possible implications?



c)    You are wounded in an accident, and you are conscious, what are your courses of action? Explain







              The questions listed are designed stimulate a learners mind on possibilities prevailing in actual conditions and properly respond as needed.

INSTRUCTIONS:

2. Discuss your response to the other members of the group and come up with a common answer.
